Confession: Before college I was not a reader. I wanted to be a reader, but never seemed to be able to connect with books in the way I dreamed of doing. I did a lot of fake reading in school to make it look like I was a reader. I was jealous of people who could find the right book and just sit down and get lost in a story. I used to hate the question, ¨What are you reading?¨ because I never had an answer to the question. Today, it is my favorite question to be asked, and I always have an answer. One of my biggest goals as an English teacher is to create a culture of readers! I will find you a book no matter how long it takes. P.S. You already are a reader!
